Creating your pendrilo.com account, verifying your email, and resetting your password

Your pendrilo.com account is free during the beta, and no credit card is needed. Pendrilo Studio connects to it when you share chapters with beta readers. You still write and format your books on your own computer, so you don't need an account to use the programs.

Create your account

  • 1. Go to pendrilo.com/register. You can also click Create a free account on the sign-in page.
  • 2. Type your Email.
  • 3. Choose a Username. It must be 3 to 30 characters long, use only letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores, and start with a letter or number.
  • 4. Type a Password of at least 8 characters, then type it again in Confirm password.
  • 5. Click Create account.

Creating an account means you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are linked on the form. When you submit the form, you land on the sign-in page with the message "Account created!"

Verify your email

After you register, we email you a verification link. Click it. You need a verified email address to sign in.

  • Verify soon. If your sign-up isn't verified by the deadline stated in the email, the account is deleted and you'll need to register again. Asking for another link doesn't extend the deadline.
  • If you try to sign in before you've verified, we send you a fresh link automatically.
  • Check your spam folder if the email doesn't arrive.

To see your status, sign in and open Your account. Beside your email address, it shows ✓ Verified or ○ Unverified. If it says Unverified, click Resend verification.

Resetting your password also verifies your email address, so that's another way to verify if the first link has expired.

Sign in and sign out

  • 1. Go to pendrilo.com/login.
  • 2. Type your Username or email.
  • 3. Type your Password.
  • 4. Click Sign in.

To sign out, click Sign out at the top of the page.

Forgot your password?

  • 1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot your password?
  • 2. Type the Email on your account and click Send reset link.
  • 3. Open the email and click the link. The link works for one hour.
  • 4. Type a New password of at least 8 characters, then type it again in Confirm new password.
  • 5. Click Set new password, then sign in with the new password.

If the link has already been used or has expired, click Request a new link to get a fresh one.

Change your email address

  • 1. On Your account, under Account, type the new Email address.
  • 2. Type your Current password to confirm it's you.
  • 3. Click Save email.

We send a verification link to the new address. Open it to finish the change.

Next step: connect Studio

Once you're signed in and your email is verified, open Pendrilo Studio, click Online in the top bar, and then click Connect…. Your browser will ask you to sign in if you haven't already, and Studio will show a code to check against the one on the website before you allow the connection.
