- Writing in the Studio editor: bold, italics, scene breaks, quotes and typed writing marks How to format text in the Studio editor, insert scene breaks, subheads and quotes, use the More menu blocks, and type writing marks that Studio turns into formatting.
- Adding pictures, QR codes and links to your text Learn how to add captioned, sized and full-page pictures, make a scannable QR code, and link words to web pages, your other books or places in your book.
- Setting book goals and tracking your writing with the writing log and sprints Set a word target and finish date for your book, then use the writing log, timed sessions and word sprints to track how much you write each day.

- Keeping track of characters, places and lore in the Codex Use the Codex in Pendrilo Studio to record your characters, places, groups, items and lore, tie them together, and see which chapters name each one.
- Listening to your chapter with Read Aloud, natural voices and pronunciations Use Read Aloud in {{SITE_NAME}} Studio to hear your chapter read out loud, download the optional natural voices, and teach the voice how to say names.
- Leaving your own comments on words in Studio and resolving them Pin a note to selected words in your chapter, see your own and beta readers' comments in the Comments tab, and mark a comment resolved or delete it when you've dealt with it.
- Checking your prose with Prose Check and the Echo Report Prose Check flags filler words, wordy phrases, weak verbs and close repeats in the chapter you're writing, and the Echo Report shows the same habits across the whole book.
- Tracking a revision pass: the THIS PASS column, See What Changed and Finish Pass A revision pass lets you work through the book for one job, such as a line edit, and shows you which chapters you have changed.
- Finding and replacing text, and using the To-do list and Scratchpad in Studio Search the whole book for a word or phrase, replace it everywhere at once, and keep track of open tasks and loose ideas with the To-do list and Scratchpad in Studio.
- Building a Story Bible: Export Your Planning as a PDF or Web Page Use Book β Save Story Bible to gather your outline, plot lines, codex sheets, timeline, threads and open story findings into one typeset PDF or web page.
- Make Studio easier to read: Reading Aid, reading ruler, Focus mode and typewriter scrolling Use Studio's on-screen reading tools, the Reading Aid, reading ruler, Focus mode and typewriter scrolling, to make the text easier to read while you write, without changing your book.
