Email preferences: unsubscribing from tips and news emails and setting your timezone
This article covers two account settings: how to stop our tips and news emails, and how to set the timezone that dates use on your author tools.
Unsubscribing from tips and news emails
Our tips and news emails have an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it to stop getting them.
- 1. Open a tips or news email from Pendrilo.
- 2. Scroll to the bottom of the message.
- 3. Click the unsubscribe link.
Unsubscribing stops the tips and news emails only. Account emails still arrive. These include password reset emails and email verification emails. You need these to sign in and recover your account, so they are not affected by the unsubscribe link.
If you unsubscribe by mistake, you can't undo it from the email itself. Contact support through your account if you want to start getting tips and news again.
Setting your timezone
Dates and times on your author tools are shown in the timezone on your account. Choose the timezone that matches where you live, so that dates on your author tools make sense to you.
- 1. Sign in at pendrilo.com.
- 2. Go to Your account.
- 3. Under Time, choose your Timezone from the list.
The change saves by itself. The page shows Saved when it has gone through, so you don't need a save button.
Changing your timezone changes how dates are displayed. It doesn't move any dates you have already set.
Related settings
Your timezone is set in the same place as your other account details. Your Your account page also shows your email address and the computers where Pendrilo Studio is connected to your account. Your timezone applies to the dates on your author tools, such as your author page and ARC team pages.
If a date on an author tool looks wrong, check your timezone first. If it still looks wrong after you've set it, contact support and tell us the date you expected and the date you saw.
