What’s new in Pendrilo Studio, Pendrilo Formatter, Pendrilo Maps, Pendrilo Cover Wrap, Panelhouse, Pendrilo Type and pendrilo.com.
The programs tell you when a new version is ready.
New · Pendrilo Type
Your handwriting, as a real font.
Pendrilo Type turns your handwriting into a font. Print a template, write on it, scan it or take a photo, and the pages become a font that installs on Windows and Mac and works in Word, Canva, Cricut Design Space and Pendrilo Formatter.
Scans or phone photos, in any order and at any angle, even upside down.
Make My Font straightens the pages, removes the guide lines, and traces, spaces and kerns every letter.
Handwritten feel rotates your versions of each lowercase letter, so repeated letters never look stamped.
Install on This Computer, or export OTF, TTF and WOFF2. Pro adds a point editor and kerning.
Also makes series title fonts, ornament fonts and single-line craft fonts for Cricut pens and plotters.
Panelhouse letters finished comic art from its script: every balloon, caption and sound effect, set the way a professional letterer would. Then it publishes the book as a print PDF for KDP or IngramSpark, a wraparound cover, a fixed-layout ebook, webtoon strips and a CBZ.
Book → Import Script… reads a standard comic script and a folder of page art, finds the panels the artist drew and letters every page.
Speech, thought, whisper, shout, radio and off-panel balloons, captions and place/time boxes, each grown to fit its words.
Sound effects that arc, bulge, tilt and fade, drawn as sharp vector art.
The Checks tab catches balloons read out of order, lettering near the trim, art below 300 DPI and spelling mistakes.
Manga mode reads right to left, and translations are lettered over the same art.
Pendrilo Cover Wrap turns your front cover into the full cover a paperback needs: back, spine and front on one sheet, sized exactly for your page count and paper, with bleed, ready to upload to KDP or IngramSpark. In Pendrilo Formatter or Studio, Book → Make the Cover… sends it your book's details and final page count.
The spine width follows your page count and paper, exactly as KDP prints it; Read from Book PDF takes the page count from your interior.
A front cover picture, a back cover picture, or one full-wrap picture for the whole cover.
The headline, blurb, author photo and bio each have their own style, and can be dragged anywhere on the back.
The Checks list warns about blurry pictures, words outside the safe area and anything covering the barcode area.
Exports the print PDF for KDP, and the front alone as an ebook cover, 2560 pixels tall.
Pendrilo Maps is a new desktop program for drawing the map a reader turns to before chapter one. Click New World and a whole map appears, sized for your book's page. Rename the places, move anything, then send it straight into your book in Pendrilo Formatter or Studio as a map page.
Book page sizes (5 × 8, 5.5 × 8.5, 6 × 9 and 8.5 × 11) and two-page spreads, with the fold marked.
Four looks: Ink for printed interiors, Parchment, Chart and Dread for horror.
33 hand-inked symbols, rivers, roads and borders, and names that curve and tilt.
Send to Pendrilo adds the map as a page in Formatter or Studio; Studio can add its place names to the Codex.
Vector PDF, or PNG and JPEG at 300 dpi, and hex or square grids for the game table.
Your back-matter link finally has somewhere to go.
One public page per pen name — photo, bio, social links, and your catalog with live retail buttons pulled straight from your release rows.
Hand-pick which books appear — drafts and other pen names can never leak onto a public page.
A "Join my ARC team" form with spam protection and an approval queue — applicants land as pending.
Public author pages include a bio, book information, and optional ARC signup. Check each retailer’s current linking rules before adding a link to your book; page content alone does not establish permission.
Running two pen names? Each gets its own page, photo, and bio.
Your beta deal, upgraded for launch day — every advance reader gets a personal link to the finished, typeset book. No account, no login, EPUB and PDF if you offer them.
The schedule runs off your release date — move the date, every email reflows.
Invitation, reminder, release-day review ask, one gentle nudge, thank-you — the sequence asks for the review so you don't have to.
Every reader carries a lifetime track record: copies received, confirmed reads, reviews reported.
Default ARC emails make reviews optional and remind readers to disclose their free copy. Authors control their campaign wording and must follow applicable review-platform rules. Pendrilo does not guarantee review acceptance or retention.
